TANJUNGPANDAN: Bagi warga Belitung yang lahir di bawah tahun 1950,tentu mengetahui betul akan kedatangan Bung Karno ke Pulau Belitung,Bahkan buku sejarah perjuangan Kemerdekaan RI yang ditulis Husnial Husin Abdullah menjadi saksi sejarah kedatangan Bung Karno pada saat berkunjung ke Belitung.
Foto yang didokumentasikan di dalam buku itu terlihat Bung Karno beserta rombongnnya datang ke Belitung yang kala itu masih bernama Bandara Buluh Tumbang (Red: saat ini bernama Bandara HAS Hanandjoedin.
Sejumlah pemangku daerah berjejer dan dengan penuh rasa hormat suka cita menyambut bung karno di Apron lapangan pesawat terbang kedatangan masuk Bandara dari tingkat yang atas hingga terbawah untuk menyambut sang proklamator.
Jenis pesawat yang mendarat di buluh tumbang kemungkinan pesawat itu adalah pesawat berjenis B-25 dimana pesawat berjenis sama yang membawa bung karno ke bandara Depati Amir Pangkalpinang yang saat itu masih bernama bandara kampung Dul.
Bahkan kedatangan Bung Karno ketika itu, disambut dengan suka cita oleh rakyat Belitung dan Bung Karno pun sempat Berpidato di gedung nasional Tanjungpandan setidaknya sejarah membuktikan bahwa Bung Karno sempat mampir ke Pulau Belitung ketika tahun 1950.
Jika Bung Karno masih ada tentu ia akan bahagia bandara yang dulu ia pijak saat ini menjadi bandara internasional,dan mungkin sekaligus sedih karena banyak anak muda yang tidak mengetahui sejarah kedatangan nya ke belitung.
Jangan Sekali-kali Meninggalkan Sejarah atau “Jasmerah” adalah semboyan yang terkenal yang diucapkan oleh Soekarno.
Setidaknya sebagian anak muda Belitong berbangga tanah negri laskar pelangi ini pernah di pijak oleh sang proklamator.
Dan saat ini banyak jejak anak-anak muda belitung yang akan menjadi Soekarno-Soekarno selanjutnya yang akan meneruskan perjalanan bangsa ini.
