Kedatangan Raja Salman ke Indonesia rupanya bakal kecipratan soal urusan pariwisata. Betapa tidak, dibalik kunjungan itu Arab Saudi berniat untuk menginvestasikan sektor kepariwisataan.

Hal itu mengemuka setelah diungkapkan Menteri Pariwisata RI Arief Yahya bersama Presiden RI Joko Widodo (Jokowi) saat mengikuti jamuan kenegaraan di istana bogor termasuk penandatanganan kerjasama berbagai bidang, pada hari ini Rabu 1 Maret 2017.

Menteri Pariwisata, Arief Yahya, mengungkapkan Arab Saudi menyatakan niatnya untuk berinvestasi di sektor kepariwasataan. Salah satunya ingin menginvestasikan di kawasan pantai Tanjung Kelayang, Belitung,Provinsi Bangka Belitung. ”Mereka sangat tertarik dengan kawasan wisata Tanjung Kelayang,” ungkap Arif Yahya,saat diwawancara wartawan MetroTV pada acara Live Event, Kunjungan Raja Salman di MetroTV, pada Rabu 1 Maret 2017, pada pukul 16.19. Wib.

Selain di Belitung, Arab Saudi juga bakal menginvestasikan kawasan wisata lainnya di Mandalika di NTB dan Sumatera Barat serta kawasan wisata Indonesia lainnya
